The women roam origin story
Mom of four.
I’m the mom that took Athenaze — a college-level Greek course — and turned it into something my children could learn at ages five, six, seven, and nine. I’m the mom that got a coaching certificate and has all of Alan Sieler’s books so I can keep going deeper. I’m the mom that reads Plato, loves Socrates, and listens to The Lord of the Rings read by Rob Inglis — and cannot watch the movies.
I’m the mom that got Lyme disease and had to rebuild her entire life: what she ate, how she thought, how she moved through the world. And I’m the mom that left a very difficult marriage after twenty years — something I never once imagined would become my story.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an ICF coach training?
The International Coaching Federation is the gold standard credentialing body for professional coaches worldwide. ICF-trained coaches complete rigorous training hours, supervised practice, and ongoing education. Coaching is not therapy, and it's not consulting. It's a dedicated, held space where your own wisdom gets to surface.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Therapy typically focuses on healing the past. This work is forward-facing. Understanding your current patterns and developing the self-awareness to change them. If you're in active mental health treatment, Patti encourages working alongside your provider, not instead of them.
What if I can't make every session?
Life is full, and I designed Women Roam with that in mind. Missing an occasional session won't unravel your experience. Come when you can, give yourself grace when you can't, and trust that something in you already knows this is worth showing up for.
Who is Women Roam for?
Women Roam is for the woman who has been faithful to everyone else's becoming and is finally ready to turn toward her own. She doesn't need to be "outdoorsy" in any particular way. She might be a woman who laces up her boots and heads into the hills — or a woman who wanders inward through books, music, and reflection. Both belong here.
Do I need any prior experience with coaching or group work?
Not at all. In fact, many of the women who find their way to Women Roam arrive having never worked with a coach or sat in a facilitated group before. You only need to bring yourself, as you are, with your questions and your curiosity. Everything else we'll build together. The only prerequisite is a genuine willingness to show up.
What if I'm not sure which offering is right for me?
That uncertainty is actually a perfect place to begin. It usually means something in you is ready to move, but you haven't yet found the words for it. I'd love to have a simple, no-pressure conversation with you. We'll talk about where you are, what you're longing for, and what kind of support might fit your life right now.
